You better not have been sleeping on free resources, sis. If you don’t have a library card or worse, if you have one somewhere collecting dust then this is your sign to put it to use! Having a library card is one of the easiest ways to level up your reading game, expand your mind, and keep your pockets intact.

I am no stranger to the library in my city. I found a new way from simply being in digital reading book groups on Facebook to use my two library cards without physically going into the buildings. First, I downloaded Libby and Hoopla on my phone and Kindle Fire.

After putting in the required information for my accounts to be launched I began saving money on books and audiobooks that I would have normally purchased. Instead of buying books bi-weekly, I now borrow them for free and read at my own pace.

It feels so good because the convenience is unmatched. I don’t have to solely depend on my Kindle app or Amazon purchases to sustain my reading pleasures anymore. There’s more ‘Sha! I also feel more confident and engaged as a reader. This is because I can explore different genres and authors without financial commitment.

Because let’s be real—having fun isn’t hard when you’ve got a library card! Isn’t that what Authur said?

My Current Reads

I have full access to a massive digital (and physical) book collection, I’m diving into a mix of drama, personal growth, and spicy fiction. Here’s what’s on my reading list:

1. The Treacherous Wife by Saundra

Whew, if you love juicy, drama-filled urban fiction, this book will grabs your attention from the first page. This story has Shy as a woman who has been living the high life as a wealthy drug dealer’s wife. But what her husband doesn't know is that Shy has her own agenda—one that might just cost them both everything.

As secrets unravel and trust is tested, the plot twists will have you side-eyeing everyone and getting caught into the pages late into the night. If you enjoy for a story filled with betrayal, luxury, and the consequences of playing both sides, this one is a must-read.

2. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle (Audiobook)

I’ve been meaning to read this one for a while, so I decided to borrow the audio version and listen while running errands and winding down at night. This book is all about living in the present moment and breaking free from overthinking, stress, and anxiety.

Tolle’s remind you that happiness does not come from obsessing over the past or worrying about the future. Happiness comes from embracing right now. If you’re trying to become more mindful, peaceful, and in control of your emotions, this book is going to get you mentally together.

3. Busy Bodies by Zane

Oh, you already know Zane brings the spice! If you love erotic fiction with compelling storylines, Busy Bodies delivers just that. It’s a collection of short, steamy stories featuring bold, confident women navigating love, pleasure, and relationships.

Zane's selection of stories will have you biting your bottom lip. If you need a little spice in your reading routine, grab this one!
