Hey there, as the days get shorter and the air gets nippy, I'm stepping into what I like to call my "Winter Arc." It's a quarter of the year, from November to February. This is the time when it's cold but cozy with all the holidays and family time.

I got the idea from TikTok, and after watching a few videos. I decided to make my own Winter Arc. For me, it's like a reset button—a chance to take a step back, set some boundaries, and work on improving my focus, habits, and overall mindset.
What is the Winter Arc?
"My Winter Arc" is all about getting ready for the future and growing as a person. When everything in nature slows down, I see it as a sign to take a break, recharge, and focus on goals that need time and effort. It is a time for mental and physical health and creativity.
How Long is the Winter Arc?
In my book, winter starts in November and hangs around until the end of February. Four months may sound too short to get things accomplished, but it's plenty of time to turn little actions into habits, make small but important changes, and see real progress.
Goals for My Winter Arc
I’m stepping into this Winter Arc with five main goals that I intend to approach with dedication and balance:
Journal at Least Three Times a Week
Writing has always been therapeutic for me, and journaling helps me keep a clear, focused mind. Over the next few months, I’ll commit to journaling three times a week. The act of putting pen to paper grounds me and keeps me centered on my intentions.
Read Two Novels Monthly
To fuel my creativity and escape the busyness of the day-to-day, I’m aiming to read at least two novels a month. Reading more will inspire my own writing, broaden my perspectives, and bring moments of calm and joy.
Consume Fewer Carbs
With cooler months come cravings for comfort foods, but my goal is to maintain balance. By consuming fewer carbs, I hope to feel more energized and mindful about my meals.
Lose 10 Pounds
Staying active through the winter is important to me, so I’m working towards losing 10 pounds by focusing on healthier eating and staying consistent with my nighttime stretches and squats.
Set a Consistent Night Routine
On regular weeknights, I'll hit the sheets by 11:45 pm and be up bright and early before 5:30 am. This new routine will help me wake up feeling refreshed and use those early hours to focus on my writing, journaling, and making a plan for the day.
How I’ll Benefit from This Arc
These goals are like little steps that help me become more focused and in control of my life. I'm making routines, taking care of my body, and letting my creative juices flow. This way, I'll understand myself better, be ready for the new year, and feel up for bigger challenges.
This winter, I'm willing to track my progress, push myself, and most importantly, make sure I stick to my promises.
