Hey, there! October was another great month and I decided to put myself first and focus on the things that matter to me. I knew I needed to make some changes to keep my peace intact. I blocked, ghosted, and went along with my business. I set boundaries and created my own space. Let me tell you, it all has been refreshing!

I rather have a phone that’s dry, than a phone that’s always ringing and dinging from folks who mean me no good. Here's a quick rundown of how I spent the month creating a sense of calm, and focus and even had a little fun along the way.

Setting Boundaries & Saying “Goodbye” to Time-Wasters

One of the biggest decisions I made was to clear out people who were adding stress rather than support. That also goes for the people that be wanting to know my personal business, but steer clear of allowing for it to be a mutual conversation of exchange. I have found that there were people in my life who solely wanted me to reach out to vent about my life issues.

The conversations turned into more of why I’m always going through things and their life is steady. I blocked and limited access to anyone who didn’t bring positivity or peace. This wasn’t about anger or resentment; it was about recognizing my worth and protecting my energy. It’s rewarding how a few clicks can remove unnecessary drama, allowing me to focus on the people and things that truly matter.

Quality Time with My Kids & Making Memories

Weekends became our adventure time. Getting out as much as possible with my kids turned into little explorations. On the move this month we’d check out parks, kid-friendly events, and kid museums. We had a great mix of fresh air and new experiences, and the highlight was definitely a truck-or-treat event the day before Halloween. The kids had an amazing time. I swear to see their joy made every outing worth it. These moments made me feel more grounded and grateful for the simplicity of good vibes and laughter.

Staying Financially on Track

This month, I was determined to stick to my budget. I needed to take a good look at what I  needed and what I could live without. I paid my bills and rent early, which was a huge weight off my shoulders. It gave me peace of mind and allowed me to focus on other things, like building up my credit.

It was a great feeling to know that I was making progress toward my financial goals. I believe that every payment made this month, it has been a step toward a more secure and independent future.

Apartment Upgrades & Cozy Nights In

I made some small upgrades around my apartment, staying within my budget but still giving the space a bit of a refresh. A new throw blanket here, a few decorative pieces there—it was all about adding little touches that made my place feel cozier and more “me.”

I enjoyed my evenings after the kids were asleep, unwinding with a book or a favorite show. I did this all while knowing I had given myself the gift of a peaceful and clean space to live in daily.

Looking Forward

October was a month of low-key wins and intentional moves. I took some time to focus on myself, which was refreshing and helped to clarify what was important to me.

Now that I've established these boundaries and habits, I'm feeling even more excited for the future. I'm ready to keep building, growing, and living the life I want. Big ups to every step forward and all the small victories that are up ahead!
