Welcome, and I am so glad you stopped by! Christmas is almost here, and I wanted to do a few blog posts leading up to Christmas day here on She’s Found Strength! This year has brought our way. We all have learned so many lessons, gained so many blessings, and had reasons to smile.
In this blog post, I am doing The Christmas Tag as well. Let’s
get into it!
When do your decorations go up?
I did not place any decorations up this year. I plan to
put my own decorations up next year for sure.
Who is the Scrooge in your family or friendship
group?
The Scrooge in my family would be my mama. She would dress for
Christmas Day and still be feeling bothered. Lol!
If money were no object, how and where would you
spend Christmas?
If money was no object, I would spend it with my children on a
beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
What Christmas film do you HAVE to watch every
festive season?
‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ with Jim Carey.
Who do you find hardest to buy presents for?
It’s difficult to buy presents for my mama because she always hollering about how she doesn’t want anything and it’s just the thought that counts. I am understanding but I also like to challenge her to come on and just take the gift at hand too.
Would you rather buy lots of little presents for a
hamper, or buy one big/ main present?
I’m going to assume that a hamper is likely to be one people
use for clothes too? I don’t know for sure, but I instead purchase one big gift
to save money.
What did you leave out for Santa when you were a
child?
When I was a child I learned very early on that Santa wasn’t
real and it broke my heart at five years old. I would leave Santa a short
letter because I knew no one would read it and place it by the window near the
front door.
Where did you spend last Christmas?
I spent last Christmas in a hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I
was homeless with my two kids last year.
Which Christmas song makes you cringe?
I can’t name one off the top! Sorry.
If you could be a character in a holiday movie,
who would you be and why?
Katt Williams from Friday After Next because I want to dress fly
and talk fly-ish. Lol!
What is your favorite winter treat?
My favorite winter treat is dark chocolate mint York patties,
hot chocolate, and red velvet cake.
What Christmas traditions do you celebrate?
There are no Christmas traditions I celebrate. I just go with
the flow of the month and how I am feeling.
Are you wishing for snow this year?
No, indeed. Just let it be cold and not all hot and muggy or
raining.
Have you ever built a gingerbread house? What is
your technique?
Yes, I did build a gingerbread house last year with my son. We
made sure we used a lot of royal icing to keep the gingerbread house together.
What hot chocolate do you like best?
Swiss Miss or Land of Lakes has the best hot chocolate for me.
Starbucks hot chocolate in the K-Pods also is tasty too.
What gift are you hoping to get this year?
I am hoping to get peace of mind this year for Christmas this
year. I do not want to be stressed, tired, or upset.
What is your warmest wintertime memory?
My warmest wintertime memory was cuddling up with my son on his
first Christmas in 2017 in bed.
